So if you read my filthy blog, maybe sometimes you are asking yourself "What can I give back to Micon for this endless entertainment?" Well, I ask that you buy some shares of me on Chipmeup, a leading staking site. If you are still thinking you need to do more than that, then also send me your Coke Points. Yup, Coke Points.
I recently played the Dream Team shenaniment with Chip and Karina Jett. While "Team What Ever" didn't do so hot, I made a deep run in the event and knocked out a few pros and celebs on the way. My first victim was Shannon Elizabeth, who was @ my first table along with Mekhi Phifer, Johnathan Little, and The Landlord (blowin' up in '09 likely.. you will hear about him).
And no one knows it but me and now you. I just played the latest Wynn $500+change tourney and I am now 2/2 on cashing, albeit not for very much both times. Another 11 hr day, another couple hundred dollar win, another dirty beat to exit with chump change instead of going on to final table greatness - but I'm not even that mad today.
As I desperately try to go to sleep I kept replaying 2 hands in my head from today's $2500 Venetian event that I was eliminated from after 8 hours of bullshit cards, a few tricky spots, and generally everything not going my way. I won the lion share of a seat to this bad boy on Sunday night, chopping an SNG for $1900 and selling 10% of myself and tossing in the remainder from the piggy bank.
The Venetian is a great place to play a poker tournament. Their tournament staff is top notch, with strapping young men like Daniel and Anthony running around solving disputes and making excellent rulings. Being a poker tournament player myself, I can't help but point out the few shenanigans rules they have that piss me off, because they are wrong.
I just played pretty good poker all day today @ Venetian and was rewarded with good cards and 1 lucky riverstars where I shipped with a flush draw vs. a tight old man's set of 999 and got there all over his face. But I had him well and covered and had a big stack all day, and played it pretty damn good if I say so myself.
Saw Mason Malmuth at the Bellagio tonight. He was playing 30/60, as usual, with about $780 in front of him, and his usual look on his face of "please never speak to me, ever." I don't think much of it, as he frequents the Bellagio and sits there like a robot not talking to anyone for hours, then gets up and leaves and goes back to his lair. As luck would have it Mason and I arrive at the valet around the same time. I get my car first, and he is sitting in the "waiting area" by Bellagio valet (and btw unless it is balls cold or fartblast windy you don't go on the waiting area room. That is for old or handicapped people. Every normal person chills outside by the benches and waits for their car, occasionally chatting with other patrons). So I do what anyone in my position would do, which is to back up about 3 feet, honk the horn 3 times, and wave at that angry, sorry motherfucker. And I had what you could describe as a "shit eating grin" on as I gave him the thumbs up and peeled out.
I know I'm playing good. I have been selling myself like a prostitute on Chipmeup, trying to build a little reputation over there, but have largely come up short.
First off I just gotta give a shout to David Plastik, who just won a 40ball @ the Commerce LAPC event #2. I can't find any links to it yet, so I will wait on the home page story, but as you can see the blog is blowin' up and this is where I will drop info before home page.
God Damnit. I started this site so I didn't have to work. Now they are making me work, but they claim it will make me more $. The lazy Jew in me must believe them. Simonas told me that while I was in "normal condition" (i.e. freaking out with almost daily panic attacks after big car accident but not smoking marijuana or cigarette) I should tell you all about some parts of NWP you may not know about.
Check out the NWP Poker Strategy section. Bet you didn't know we had that shit. Turns out the Lits have contracted one Aaron Hendrix (3rd cousin of Jimmy and frequent LSD user) to talk about why you make 1/2 or 1/3 size bets on the flop.
Another part of NWP you might not know about is the Freeroll Tournaments section. This is where you can take $0 and run it into $3,000,000 just like a 16 year old from Europe did named Annette_15. Likely, you will just waste infinite time and get nothing, but hey, that's a freeroll.
Chances are some of you are actually reading this :sweetblog right now. That is because our chief Lithuanian, Simonas, has listened to what we asked and make the front page with prominent blog placement. It looks awesome, so now I will have nice blog so that people can read even more about me than what I post on the forums.
