Just wanted to post this on my blog before I went another day forgetting about it. On President-Elect Barack Obama's website at Change.gov is a section where people can vote on the top issues that need to be addressed by the incoming administration. Depending on the number of votes that particular subject receives, it will be placed higher up on the list of soon-to-be President Obama's policy agenda.
One of the fastest-rising topics is that of the legalization of Online Poker in America....
I don't need to repeat to any avid gambler or poker player why this type of movement is so important. There's a point where we can't just rely on certain Congressman to echo "OUR" voices - unfortunately we as poker players are nothing but a silent minority in this fight to protect our fundamental rights as citizens to do whatever the fuck we want with our hard-earned money. We need to stand up and do the simple things like writing and lobbying to groups like the PPA - and now more than ever, we need to stand up and do something even simpler than that:
Register for an account through the below link - VOTE UP for Online Poker's legalization - and hell, chime in and make a comment like the other 1,000+ people have already done in such a short time since this topic has been up....it's free and will take you a few seconds out of your life. Enjoy.
