i'm way too impatient for this live bullshit. to the internets!

edit- breaking news: i now have a prop bet that i can run 100-10k by the end of the year starting monday. doesn't seem like much but it's actually a lot to me. so i'll be working with that on stars.

as some of my lackeys that travel within my inner circle already know, i had a horrible day two sundays ago. i was the bubble and 1 from the bubble (despite having a huge chip lead) in 2 qualifiers to the main event. i spent a fair amount of time since on life tilt but tried my best to press on. the following week, i played a decent share of online tourneys and continued to run deep but fall short.

one of my strongest assets is the ability to be honest with myself. most people don't have that; most poker players lose their shit because they lack it. i came to the conclusion that my tournament game has improved greatly in the past few months. i don't think this is something that would be noticeable to anyone else but myself. but, i just know. i also know i've been playing online poker for 2 1/2 years and the limits i'm playing now aren't that much different than when i started. point being is, i'm sick of the low-limit grind.

i'm going to stop doing this until something "blog-worthy" happens. doing this shit all the time makes me feel like i'm doing homework. i didn't cheat in high school to live like this.

starting friday, i'm going to start charting my progress on this thing. it's not going to be anything special, it's going to be for my benefit. it'll for the most part read like a stat sheet so i'm sorry to disappoint those who look forward to me sharing some feelings. i'm mentioning it now ahead of time in case i have a sick day friday so no one thinks i just happen to start it when i have a winning day. i'm going to play tournaments, so i expect almost every day to be a losing one.

the plan is to play 500 tourneys in about 2 months and then analyze the results. if i do well, maybe after that i'll move up in limits. the goal i am setting for myself is a 100% ROI and cashing in 167. this is very high but it's the pace i've been on for the past 200 MTTs or so on 5 different sites. but with this blog, i'll be starting fresh.
