He says he loves me, loves poker.

His hard-working has not made a fortune yet, whereas he’s the only one I care.

He is tall, I am short. It seems we are not compatible. I am not that kind of fools fear it.

He loves his parents so do I as I love mine.

Quarrel is undeniable. Or poker game won’t heal scars we burden otherwise.

I am living under his arms, too far away from unpredictable harm.

Should have met him somewhere, played a few hands, speech won’t find us in that words are too adorable to mean it, they are retired.

He is the one living in my mind.

I am waiting in a raining day, a day he may crawl into my life.

N.R.A, Better be on the ball which I'm sure they are but if Obama pulls past us we better be ready. They better be ready for a long tedious fight especially for the assault rifle ban.
If it does slide that way anyone into hunting or just going to the shooting range, donate some money to the National Rifle Association (NRA) so they have money for the court battles to protect the 2ND Amendment, and if you want a rifle you better jump on it.

Chantel: One day I will never forget

Close your eyes and reminisce the time when we were walking through Central Park in New York and we were holding hands...we passed by an older couple just like our own grandma and grandpa's age walking together, smiling and holding hands, in exactly the same way as you and me... as we watched you said to me, "Thry are so cute..that is my dream and our destiny, to grow old together like them!" We stopped and watched them pass by, still holding hands and with a smile that pierced my heart you turned to face towards me glowing as we glared into each others eyes. Just thinking about that moment we shared together gives me goose bups and butterflies as we embraced one another just as the sun was about to reach the horizon and you gave me a tender kiss on the lips.

Time for bed...alone again....
Please do not detect any resentment in my tone. There is none. I am simply stating the reality of another evening in the life of a "poker widow".
I am excited about starting this blog, as I see it as an opportunity to connect with other spouses or partners of poker players in order to possibly promote a support system for those of us devoted to supporting this crazy "call" to the world of poker.
You know, having the whole bed all to myself is not all that bad! I really do enjoy living the poker life vicariously through my husband, with the thrill of the wins and chill of the losses without the anxiety or stress of being the one holding the cards!

H.A.L.T before you play

This might seem crazy, but I believe that bad poker sessions can be avoided by simply playing at the right times. I use this system that seems to work for me.

Before I play I ask myself if I am:

Hungry
Angry
Lonely
Tired

Poker players get hungry for three things

1: FOOD - I make sure I am fully nourished, lots of juice and or coffee into me, before I even consider playing. My brain needs energy to function properly.

2: MONEY- I completely erase the need to win , or desire to win money from my mind. Life happens, we all need money at times in our lives. But this is no place to push things. I just play my game and know that in the end I will have the money I need.

DonkeyGear, an online donkeygear.net, is showing their support for the 101st Airborne division by sponsoring a poker tournament for the troops. The tournament, which began as the concept of Sergeant Gutierrez at COB Speicher, Iraq, started in May of 2006.

In the 2006 tournament, more than 2,000 soldiers participated. After finding themselves deployed to Afghanistan, Gutierrez is setting up the tournament again.

Since June, over 1,000 soldiers, airmen, Marines and civilians have been participating each Sunday in the free tournament. The tournament began as an outlet for soldiers, so that they could come together for a couple hours each week without the burden of the stress of war, and instead enjoy talking and playing poker together.

The sponsors that have come on board are donating prizes that the soldiers and civilians can compete for. DonkeyGear is donating several of their shirts to show their support for the troops.

so i get home from the beach an i go to play some poker on ps so i start watching some of the wcoop games and I notice a player i know in 2 of the events and then I notice his other account playing in them also(and someone that I know wishing them gl on both accounts)... so disheartened to know that someone that I admired as a well known propoker player was cheating..cuz thats what is..oh well mo power to u dawg

on september 2, 2008. I recieved a check from pokerstar for 1,000. I take the chedk to my bank to make a deposite. My bank well fargo refuse to accept the check. The bank teller run the check through the machine, than call the bank operation manager. They told me that it likelyhood the check is no good and refuse to accept the check. The check i recieve is from Customer Service International INc. from UK. and the check issue through BankTrust Bank from Atlanta Georgia. The bank operation manager point out to me there alot of feature in the check seem phony. I have recieve a check from pokerstar before, but it issue from a company in california and the check it from well fargo bank and it go through fine. Does anyone has the same problem with pokerstars check?
